High House Fruit Farm has been in the Pool family for almost fifty years. Piers Pool cares deeply for the land he farms and has always tried to farm in an environmentally friendly manner. The farm is situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty on Suffolk's Heritage Coast. It is midway between the villages of Sudbourne and Orford and looks over the marshes of the River Alde and the shingle spit of Orford Ness.
At High House Fruit Farm they have a reputation for growing high quality produce. The season begins in spring with rhubarb and asparagus. Soft fruits ripen in June followed by cherries, apricots and plums as the summer progresses. The main crop of apples, including varieties Cox, Russet, Discovery, James Grieve, Worcester, Blenheim Orange, Charles Ross, Ribston Pippin and Bramley, is gathered in the autumn.
Piers and his team make a range of delicious juices from their apples. The fruit is pressed locally into cloudy, unfiltered juice, including no other ingredient except for Vitamin C. There are four types of juice available; James Grieve, Cox & Bramley, Discovery and Russet.
